Blazing Renegade at "Ride the West"

This May, we had the opportunity to take Reno to the Ride the West Horse and Ranch Expo in Spokane, Washington. Reno was one of the stallions being featured there and we had a blast. We got to rub elbows with people such as Louise Beach, Josh Lyons, Carole Mercer, Ruben Villasenior, Eitan Beth-Hallacomy or however you spell his last name. It was 4 days of fun except when it rained. Reno was the hit for the crowds as sometime we had people just walk up to him and hug him! Good thing he was so good natured! Anyway, we are looking forward to going back again on May of 07. here are some pics!

Our Star "Bucksome" aka Star

Bucksome aka "Star" was born on our farm out of our old Arabian mare RL Venessa. She was the most beautiful Buckskin pinto I could have asked for but it became apparent to us that she was destined for greater things than we could do for her so we sold her to Suzi Drnec of Hobby Horse Clothing Company and she sent her to Benny Guitron for reining and working cow horse training. After about a year there, she was sent to Tiago Sobral and with his training, she became a Scottsdale National Half Arabian Top Ten Champion Reining and Working cow horse! So one of our babies has made a name for herself and we are proud of her. She now calls the Silver Aspen Ranch home and we look forward to seeing her make a splash in Trail and Pleasure classes too this year!

Meet more of our horse family!

We have added a few paint fillies to our herd this past year to cross with Reno so here they are!

Sweety is an unregistered Red/White paint filly that we got with Mocha! Both her parents are reg paints but she was an oops. When her owner passed away, nobody knew who she was in the herd as all other horses had papers except her. Through pictures taken when she was only a couple months old. we figured out who her parents were! We have no idea what he called her before, but she was named Sweety because of her disposition!

Next is Spooks Painted Lena aka "Mocha", another reg. bay/white paint 3 year old filly. Mocha has a special place at our house because she is so good natured. She was stunted when she was younger so she is only about 13.2 hands tall but that is perfect for our daughter that fell in love with her! She is in your pocket and a kid horse future is planned for her.

Thank you Lois and Bud for letting us have these wonderful girls in our lives!

Pocos Scamping Shoes*****SALE PENDING***** is Reg. APHA black bay/white, 4 year old filly with one blue eye. She is over 15 hands! She got too big for us so we decided to sell her and keep Sweety(14 hands) for me. Scamp is a sweet filly that we have started under saddle but she needs finished. She takes the bit, saddle and I have rode her 7 times so far. She is a super fast learner and has lots a power to do gaming or working cows. As I said, she is a very big horse to me and is bound for greater things than we will do with her. She might be homozygous for the paint gene but don't know for sure. She could possible sell with a breeding the our stud Blazing Renegade. We are asking $1500 for this well bred girl that includes Billy Shoe Shine and Luckys Heavy Duty and many others! We are willing to take offers on her too, as long as it is to the right home!
